"submit file" size

ive just finished my Egypt project which i have spent over a week on and i am quite proud of it; but it is 1.68 MB! the problem is it would ruin it if i was to take it down to 1.4MB by deleting some of the files that i have worked so hard on - what should i do about it?  :help

Max file size can be up to 16MB for submited files.

soz i meant 14mb not 1.4.
says on the submit file thing that it can only be 14mb

Well if you've ever attached a picture to a post, you'll find that the page SAYS 200 KB is the max, but in reality it's 400 KB. (Something Kays probably needs to fix.) The same should apply to the normal submit file size. Now I'm going to assume that when you said 1.68 MB you meant 16.8 MB. So you won't need to drop nearly three megs, just 800 KB. That shouldn't be TOO much, but I've never made a map, so I wouldn't know. Your welcome in advance if this helps you.

We're dealing with this via  PM.

That 16 MB is a PHP restiction on file uploads. The image size restriction when posting is at that level for a reason.
