see through creatures

Hi, i have just started editing creatures and was wondering, how do i make parts of them see through?  lol, the button is probs right in front of me but im not the brightest person here, plz could u tell me the button/buttons to press and maybe even post a screenie if possible, thx

Jackmix did a tutorial on that or at least I think it's that, which is in our FAQs.

Basically just use the eraser tool on the part of the skin you want to be transperant.
