Yes, and I know that the norse were quite smart... but not in the game.. their they are just anoying.. especialy the leader..! :(
 
funny thing for me is that whenever he starts to talk, either my good dude says "we've taken over a town!", or my evil guy talks about "getting beat up good boss."

after that I usualy send my lion to beat the bajeebers out of thier wolf, electrecute thier archers, and lay waste to thier city...

then my army of 400 men or so compleetly obliterates the norse...

and my creature eates the corpses...

and gets fat...

and then I leave the land...

okay, we're realy off topic... :p

ok everyone the beta should be good to go very soon. Please ignore the ship floating still as thats kind of the biggest problem still. Elevation still doesnt work but controlling the ship has started working a little.

As soon as the beta hits, Im going to work on the god ai more to add a new idea I thought of recently.

Interventions:

At any given moment u may ask your fellow ally gods for an intervention chat. During these little sequences you can organise a war effort, get him to look after your creature, change wat town he is helping etc. Interventions will be a both way thing so some maps will include this for enemy gods. At any time enemy gods may decide to work together to achieve one thing, whether it be peace or war.

I reckon this would be a lovely addition to wat is already there, giving these guys more personality and the ability to work together. It will take some work but I will try my best.  :)

Well ladies and gents, you have been puzzling for some time the next release date for the beta is. If I could ask Zypher to upload that drawing for me, I can finish it up, clear any bugs and release all within a week or 2.

Dont take my word for it but I think Ive finally sorted out some of the mess the last beta had. Ships 'finally' work. They dont float on air(the reason for this was in the landscape editor, portions of land were higher than other parts), creature selection functions once again and the God AI is as stable as ever now. I do however still need to figure out how to make the platoon transport of ships workable so Im still having a few issues with that but that shouldnt take long.

Anyway my internet modem has crapped out on me so I might be quiet for a few days and cant go to the library all the time but we'll see what happens. Expect another update in a week.

Well there's a slight problem, (Daxter, I am sorry if it is true or not, but I've learned to be very cautious with scammers). Daxter sent an e-mail saying he's stranded in London after some convention, and he's lost his wallet with his credit cards and everything. He's asking us to wire him some money so he can get out, and promises to pay back in full when he returns home.

I don't have any money, and if I did, I would be totally cautious about this, because if his wallet was truly stolen or lost, for all we know someone else found his e-mail stuff and is now trying to scam some money off of us. Anyway, if you really want to risk it, PM me, and I'll give the information to wire him the money. I'd suggest e-mailing him first though, asking some questions only Daxter would really know, hence I suggest getting iRzilla to ask some advanced programming questions, and if he answers them correctly, we know it's really him. The whole thing I'm skeptical about is that he posted on Kayssplace yesterday, yet has sent me two e-mails so far, yet not thinking to post on Kayssplace, hmm...  :suspect

Anyway, PM me if you want the information.
 
Ive had the same issue of junk mail, girls inviting me to their blog list, although its odds, one said "you have a nice smile"? yet I don't have Myspace, Facebook etc.

Anyway Il be continuing with my work later, deadlines to meet etc and sorry I haven't contacted you Alk.
 
hey guys. Isnt this news and kind of strange too. Just so you guys know I did not send any emails lately to anyone and in fact, my account was disabled actually because Microsoft were randomly deleting accounts from their system due to congestion of accounts.  :(

But seriously ignore wat was said that was not me, I was actually coming online now to see how everything is going and was going to update some stuff in the Script Library and I find this.  ???

Curiously though please send me the details of this email please Al in a PM, so I can see what this person actually said.

As for OGaM, everything is up to speed and going well the release date of the beta will hold I can guarantee it.  :)

On topic: AFAIK you have a pair of voice actors. Are you using any special effects to make them godly or are they plain?
From what I hear at B&W 1 for all gods it is either quiet multiple reversed echos or a quiet reversed reverb. Hear in this vid - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYklnerLGYY
There are other games that create godly voicing such as Sacrifice. In which Persephone and Stratos have effects that I can't really determine! Pyro has increased bass. Others don't have anything.

It will seem unfinished because I am missing a couple things but expect this to be in the beta and final product. Also please note that the video capture program I use tends to cut things out because it uses alot of resources.

The part where the camera zooms out from the city and you can hear all the ant-sized people talking rlyloudly is kind of weird :(  Especially when it doesn't fade out but just sorta stops.

Or was that one of the unfinished parts?
