My solution was /is as I do this land for fun is contained in the following.
If you build fast enough then everything can work , if not then you wil be able to continue.

First off... Start tobuild a wonder (I prefer the siren) near your worship site so it gets 100% productivity. You won,t be able to use it but the influence area is important.
Second...Expand your influence to cover where the volcano will erupt . If done soon enough the volcano will not be fired.
3. Build a secondary wall outside the given wall , where the attacks will take place, once the siren is built you can do this.
4. Gather some of the large rocks and put them handy....you know where the attacks are to come from.
5. The Great battle ......Archers on walls Swords ready to plug holes.
6. The enemy have the disadvantage 2 walls to clear in your influence and ...as a good god to protect your people you can drop the rocks on the enemy creature and catapults first then help mop up the troops without casting a miracle.

the way i beat this land was to first send my creature to destroy the wonder. this takes a while and you may need to watch your creature die a few times. who cares.
after this i built a wall with LOADS of gates and built the gates before any ore was wasted on the big sections. then i recruited as many soldiers as i could and kept 20 worshippers to create miracles which you can use at your lesiure :
:. most of the soldiers were archers made into tiny platoons of ten as to maximize enemy death and make sure that they can only concentrate on one platoon at a time. i kept the archers off the wall so they dont die when the siege weapons attack and so that they can fire more arrows. when the first attack was repelled i led all my troops into one of the other towns and captured it, abandoning the main town and taking all the citizens and resources to the new base, all this time using the creature to cripple the wonder. then, in a final frenzy of breeding, i sent the army into the other minor town with my creature and captured it, conscripting everyone and using all the resources to get people to breed. then i healed all my armies, recruited as many soldiers as i could, and smashed the enemy with a final blitzkrieg of creature, armies and possibly wonders. not as reliable as @gremxula's strategy but much, much more fun to watch.
