Help with picking up things.

I have a rather disturbing problem. The problem is I can't pick up any trees or foundations, nor create disciples. I have tried to restart the land and create a new profile but it just won't work. My first profile works completely fine with this though, it was my second profile which screwed up. Anyone who has the answer to this problem?

Did you patch the game?

... which land is this on?  When did it start?

maybe you should patch or is it just your CD

I haven't patched the game, maybe I should. I jumped the scrolls after the creature choice and the aztec invasion and started right where you start creating disciples. I will patch the game and return with what happens.

EDIT; I downloaded the patches and tried to install the first one, but it says my game has been corrupted and needs a re-installation

if you reinstalled and tried to patch but it failed your CD's corrupt

Try doing a repair. It's one of the options when you go to uninstall.


Just a warning,. If you do apply the patch, your old profiles will no longer work.

if your able to patch it to 1.1 try patching it to 1.2 for better performances

All I had to do was to re-install my game and apply the patches before I changed anything else. Everything works just fine now
