Any OGAM news? BW3: Not going to happen.

I don't know about you, but I remember Daxter saying awhile ago that OGAM would come out in late 2008. I do realize that it is a lot of work, but I was just wondering if there was any date that someone could tell me about?

yes, i know that OGaM is difficult, but people shouldnt make promises like that. :(
 
To be fair, this is a common problem in software development.  Take it from someone who works in the industry day-in and day-out.

You give what seems like a decent estimate of when it will be done, but then all manner of issues crop up during development which push out the delivery date.

Compound that with the fact that this is an entirely voluntary project (i.e. there is no company paying these guys to do it, this is just in their free time) and you can easily see why this has been delayed so much.
 
Hey guys sorry for that little delay, it was technical issue. ><

I did say Id release it the day after I posted that then all of a sudden BAM! internet went dead(note I will be fixing that soon now that I ahve some decent internet going for now) . Well this is a confirmation post, let me gather all Ive managed to do, put into a zip file and upload shortly. Check the OGaM thread for release link. thanks and sorry.

Sorry for what? We're the ones that should be sorry for hurrying you up :)
 
Being a member of the OGaM team, I can speak for most of us. As Pat said, we're doing this in our free time, and school is eating up more free time than I expected, and in coming months it's going to eat up more, since I'm moving on to High School this year. I assure everyone we haven't given up. But you can't rush us along. If we were getting paid for this, we'd have this done by the end of the month. But we have other things to worry about. Thank you for the understanding and patience.
