Vagrant Start?

I have seen them wandering around maps, they walk on water and seem to be born out of nowhere. What is the point of them? It has been bothering me for some time now and I needed to ask...
 
Vagrant Start is an individual who has just appeared on the map. Eventually they should establish themselves in a village and become a villager.
 
They are mostly guys (or the ocasional girl) that are 'left overs' from quests, most of the time, silver scrolls.

Just pick em up, and place em someware, in a village.


As for land 1, you will have atleast 4 of em, and 2 of those will give you a "You killed him!" Just, random.

If you see em, or you used 's', place em with the aztecs, they have room! ^^
 
Hmm, well on skirmish maps when i usually obliterate a village using mega blast extreme, and there's left over people that i have speared, they're status usually goes to 'Vagrant Start' but i dunno why.
 
A fun note i've found about the vagrants (or at least the throwing stones one) is if you throw him at the rock on the piller and hit it off, he usually goes into the water. If you start another quest while hes in the water he ends up dead, but not quite... You can pick him out of the water after hes dead and your creature (most likely evil :devil) will have a corpse as a toy! He doesnt skele so he wont disappear, but he does still age. im not sure but i think he turns skele when he would have died from "natural" causes. I havent tried this on other quest vagrants yet, but its still a fun little glitch :). I know my evil lion likes to play with him :D
 
Sorry about the false information above, i cant edit it, but heres what ive found after doing a little research. If you start drowning a silver scroll "actor" before you finish the quest and leave them there til they drown (be sure to complete the quest before they do) they will become a dead person that wont turn into a skeleton or disappear (until they reach the age where they'd normally die). This will only work on people that become "vagrant start"s after the quest and ONLY if you can drown them between their last animation and their transformation to vagrants. DO NOT drown someone if they still need to appear in the quest, this will cause your game to get stuck (i tried drowning the singing stone man before putting the last stone in the circle and found this out). Also people that dont become vagrants after the quest just disappear (like the sailors). So far the throwing stone man is the only one ive found that this glitch works for, but im sure there are more. Just a fun way to make a creature toy and get rid of some pesky vagrants :)
