Install Shield Engine not Installing? (Patch error)

I've been able to successfully install the base game and additional creatures, but for some reason the village banter and patches 1.0 and 2.0 will not install. I've attached a screenshot of the error I keep getting.
I'm running Windows 10 and have ran everything as administrator. I even tried changing compatibility mode to Windows XP in case that may have fixed it, but no such luck.

Hmm that error is weird.

The one I usually get is "Couldn't find Black&White..." something along those lines, but starting the setup a second time usually makes it work.
 
! freeware version I found seems to work with all of the patches. The little scratches on my disc probably created some error with the installation (or something).
