Black and White wrong cd

When i run my Black and  White it says is:

plaese insert the correct CD-ROM, select ok and restart application   :help

but i do have the correct cd-rom inserted   :shocked

Anybody know whats wrong?

Any help will be appreciated     ::

:fixed it by putting a no cd patch on my game, im not sure if its illegal because i have the original cd.

Is your CD dirty or do you have the same problem with other games that need a cd too?
Well my idea would be getting a no cd crack but that´s illegal isn´t it?
