At least it's not a Wii; it'd be better to slack off than to slack off, and break your arm smashing it into a TV/person/etc and have to wait even longer.
Also free the elves and elf labor is cruel and etc.
Player symbols are stored in the registry. So I guess the problem is it not being able to save to the registry.
You ran it as administrator, right? (Right click the shortcut > "Run as administrator" or something)
Edit: I mean, which of the player symbols you use is stored there.
I doubt it's a Vista error, unless B&W puts your alignment in the registry or something.
But just in case, are you running it with UAC off or by running B&W as an admin?
First of all, stop using third-party programs to check if things work. They're usually malware of some sort (trojans, spyware, etc. usually).
Secondly, a cycling redundancy error usually means either the CD wasn't created correctly in the first place (not the case, since you installed it once)...
Ugh, I can't find anything useful on Google about it. It's all related to random microsoft products (and not installshield, that I can see. At least, the bottom part of the error message)
What version (x86 or x64) version is your OS and does it have SP1? (I'm just wondering if it's another...
I always chose the wolf (pwnage) or the cow (comical) :(
BW1 had a better selection though, so maybe I'm just sulking over that by refusing to try anything else!
I just want a creature that can walk on water and bring puppies back to life :(
Is there any evidence (recent, not just that "up to Black and White 5!" or whatever comment) that BW3 will ever be made though?
)(Whoa, I've had this reply thing open for like an hour and forgot to reply. Anyway.)
Depends on how lazy I am XD
If I am lazy, I just teach him using rocks and trees and sometimes just hte ground itself. Then when heuses it on one of them I punish him (if I do'nt want him to)
Otherwise...
Depends on how much you want soldiers and how much you want a decent creature :0
BW2 is great when you're taking towns and stuff by force, but your creature is really the dumbed-down part in it all.
Then again, if you're really into Black & White and god games you should probably try it out...
I dunno about anyone else but I always teach my creatures all the miracles I can, but only limit which ones he thinks he should cast. Because if I have an evil creature I want him to be able ot heal himself/cast water on himself, but might not want him to use it otherwise.
And as for Creature...
I have 512MB (8x the system requirements) and it still runs at like, 20FPS maximum (unless I'm as far into the sky as I can go, then it might be like 35)
So... while excessive, I've gotta reluctantly agree with JumpDin :(
