    Several interesting concepts

I've just got those maps, but don't have time to add them at present. You can add files yourself now. If you go to the Downloads Area, you should see a link to do so in the top info box to the left.

    Game freezing

Vista and Windows 7 do have a few quirks. Where or what folder is it installed in. Do you have any problems with a player made map from the Downloads?

    Little Help for newbie!

Nah, it' a fascinating game and I just got hooked on it. :) Considering the age (almost 9 years now) the creature AI was very well done. If you spent enough time with it. It's almost like having a pet.

    Little Help for newbie!

Use the growth map first. A creature will stop growing rapidly once at the age of 18. The horse is a good choice. :)

    Little Help for newbie!

I don't know. I usually switch when the creature is young. I suspect that the creature will retain "some" of these traits as it's a behavioural thing. But it shouldn't be too difficult to over come.

    Little Help for newbie!

It might be an idea. Stay on land 1 and use the creature breeder. The guy in the shack up the beach from the missinaries. Using the creature breeder, your creature won't loose any what he's learnt. Not so if you use a creature changer program. For creature to change to. The horse has a bit of...

    Little Help for newbie!

Hi Nero, welcome to our forums. :) I think that Apes can be difficult to train in that they have a short attention span and need to be kept occupied. Especially in the early stages of training. As they get older and have learned to do things. Then it will be less of a problem. Spend a lot of...

    Adding scripts to existing lands.

Ok, you might be able to build your own script and then include the .chl file for the land in that.

    Adding scripts to existing lands.

The  map.txt file points at the .chl file and the .bwe file to load. The .bwe file loads the landscape files. Usually the .chl file is the same name as the bwe and landscape files. So either rename and replace the .chl file. Or copy and rename the landscape files to be the same as the .chl file.

Landscape editing on a not-so-fast laptop

Sorry, but other than what you've already done , no. Although the game is able to gear down for lower spec PCs. Not so for the landscape editor. LHS used decent PCs so there was no need to add that into the editor.
