I've read about how to do this, but I never can seem to get it to work. Hold the flag of one platoon over another platoon's flag, and the link or merge command is supposed to appear, only it doesn't. :(

Is it better to start over with a new creature to do all this?

I never really went in for this, when I was playing the original game, I tended to try to convert villages by building and increasing my influence so I could lob miracles over the villages.  In multiplayer, however, it's pretty much dependent on your creature converting villages, and mine is not...

Oh, I get it.  You use it to create a "sparring partner"  for your creature.

What do these do?  If I wanted to download one, how would I get it to be used by my creature?

Darkside started off by trying to convert the village *closest* to my temple.  I sent 100% of my people to worship at my temple and ended up with an empty village.

Kays won again, all my people got killed, and Darkside tried to destroy my temple anyway! That's all for now, we may play again later if there is enough interest.

Game 1 was won by Kays, who took the top village on the King of the Hill map and then put a shield over it, a boring way to win. :) I will start a new game at 9:30AM PST (12:30PM EST).
