Your best bet for the game to work properly would likely be a virtual machine of some kind running XP. The game doesn't play too well with Win7 or Win8.
The game runs on my Win8 machine, but I have the graphical issues described in this thread last I checked.
I don't think so. The football fields "work" in that they can appear in-game, but you can't combine the scaffolds to do it. It has to be done by modifying a script.
You need to prevent him from looking at the screen. If you know where he looks, you can always press P to pause time and get out of the way.

Once it's reinstalled in C:\Games, you could try running the patch as an administrator if it still doesn't work.
Right-click patch->Run as administrator.
If that also doesn't work, I suppose make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. After that I'm out of ideas.
Where did you install the game? If you installed in in Program Files (x86), try reinstalling in into something like C:\Games and seeing if it will patch then.

There is one update listed here on Kayssplace titled "Update 3" in the CachePackX downloads page.
Since you play Creature Isle, you may also be interested in the Tyke Aligner on that page, which lets you modify Tyke's stats like the Creature Aligner in the main CachePackX does. :)
Choose "Maximum Detail" in the options tab or in the setup executable. Or, choose custom and turn all of the settings on as well as move all of the sliders to the right.
