Siren is the best for good gods since you can make their huge armies into your villagers.

It isn't hard to stop the Earthquake epic from ever being used on you. Just send your creature to smash through the cities gates in which the epic wonder is located and just have him attack it a couple times. They will never rebuild it so you will not have to worry about them leveling your city.
