Houses and Hovels are evil structures. Both have essentially no impressiveness value and decrease happiness of structures nearby. They are, however, high capacity buildings. When placed near other dwellings, they induce a capacity bonus on one another. If you create a slum atmosphere with many...
Well given the tiny influence ring in BnW2, I haven't tried making a wall from scratch. Most of the early scenarios have a started wall that you can drag across. Perhaps doing it this way doesn't allow you to change the height.
I haven't seen any documentation though that talks about height.
Well if we're going to attempt to help, we'll need more information.
-System specs
-Exactly when the install is dying with as many specifics as possible. I'm still confused if things are going bad during the directx part or the regular game
Do you already have Directx 9.0c installed on your machine? If not, you may want to consider installing directx 9.0c separately by downloading it so the BnW setup doesn't have to.
I don't think this made it into the game. I haven't seen any functionality to do this. Either way, the wall system could use a little work. I've seen a couple of problems with it.
:(
Yeah, that's quite a war zone over there. Quite a few people can't even get the game started, or are experiencing huge lag. I find this very interesting since these problems all revolve around high end systems. I saw the same thing with a game called Stronghold 2 that came out a few months ago...
So does everyone's creature eventually reach the same size in BnW2? I know from BnW1 that this was not the case. You had to do your growing in the early years otherwise your creature reached a height cap less than the highest possible one.
Reading the game manual makes me think that each...
Nah, he turned out to be what I was shooting for. I don't even need creature roles for him, he gets it all done on his own. His fitness is near 90% as he runs around all day helping the town. That one pic just happened to be a very candid shot. :upside
Although he has been known to start...
Do you have version 1.1 yet? I've noticed with 1.1 that my soldiers can go through the walls sometimes. I'm not up to a land where I get attacked very much yet, and I'm curious if this problem is still in 1.1. If it is, you may want to post it over on the official forums where the devs will see...
I've been noticing some similar strange villager behavior. My problem focuses around builders and refiners. To make a complicated problem simple: at times when making disciples, they simply don't do anything.
1. I made a whole bunch of refiner disciples and they just loitered around the town...
Yeah, I was just about to edit my post to say nevermind. But for everyone else's clarification: you have to select the platoon flag, release the mouse button, then click and hold over the platoon you want to link. Sounds simple enough, but I was trying every other combination of steps except...
OK, I'm on Land 3 and cannot link platoons together. I thought you're supposed to take the flag and position it over another platoon until the orange tooltip appears saying "link." I can't make this tooltip come up at all. Other things like defend and attack and "get on" work fine. Has anyone...
I'm not much into ATI cards, but here's what the box says for requirements:
Looks to me like they specifically bypassed the 9000 series you have. Or perhaps it's all related. Like I said I don't know - just a thought.
Haven't used it yet myself, but I don't see why you can't run the creature unlocker on multiple computers using a floppy.
Ideally, the order in which applying the unlocker or patch shouldn't matter. Assuming the patch becomes available I will probably apply that first and then the unlocker...
They have an email system in place right now. Anyone know what the turnaround time is to get an email back? I sent mine in last night, and no response yet.
Well since you're getting a new computer, what's the harm in picking the game up now. I'm thinking you'll need to get creative to get this game running on a 800 MHz machine. Like I always say, these minimum specs are not reliable at all. If you want to reasonably play the game you shoot even...
Well I haven't played yet, but they made it like this for a reason.
Could it be related to a balance issue? The good God is purely defensive and essentially just has to bunker down and let everyone come to him. You don't think it would be a little unfair if the good God could stay on the...
