I don't remember BW2 having a sandbox mode, only if you mean that you downloaded a sandbox-like map on the download area. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

I mean that you need more memory to play any game, because Vista can spend a lot of memory, so you need some extra. Nothing about you, don't worry. :)

I think it's because the creature is forced to sleep, making he grow faster, but arent there other things that helps on doing that? You could try putting food on there, so he can eat, and maybe grow faster.
