Fixed
Note to other help-seekers: After uninstalling BW1, do a registry/disc cleanup and delete the entire "leftover" contents of the Lionhead Studios Ltd. from your Program Files. Then you can proceed to reinstall the game.
I finally got my beloved BW1 disc back, and in perfect condition! I installed it on my shiney new laptop, but when I went to patch the game, I recieve an error saying "you do not have the correct version of Black&White installed to use this patch."
What went wrong, and how can I fix this? ...
Are you running in any type of Compatability Mode or Running As Administrator? Also, are you using 16-bit or 32-bit colours? 32-bit is much better and (for me, at least) clearer.

Skin is practically finished. Only a few very small touchups are left. I'll post it in downloads sometimes in April. (yeah, I'm a procrastinator :laugh2 )
Unfortunately I'll have to agree. I finished the game after only a few hours of fooling around. It would have been better if the game was actually completed before it was released to the public. :rolleyes
It's oddly not there. It's not even on the composer's website. Umm, the vocal tune is not exactly original :rolleyes. Lionhead borrowed it from somewhere... :suspect
I'll check out the Lionhead forums for more info... if there is any.
I cannot, for the life of me, find the real title of this music! It's the cut_scene_happy_02 Anyway, it's relatively well known. It's in other games, and can be heard in the History Channel's "Revolution" series. I couldn't find it in Musipedia... Anyone know the Name, Artist or etc?

Ha, late reply. I've already played thru 7 lands of BW2. And that's with awful frame rates (under 5 fps on cutscreens), too. Time to upgrade me notebook... :rolleyes

Black Spotted Cow (neutral) - I always wondered why there was no neutral cow skin w/ black spots. Here's one by me!

Ha, rocks. That's what I do with my sister's creature. Except the rocks get thrown at her creature. Ya, I'm just mean. I always, always, always fight with Slow Down Time. Otherwise it's hard to keep track of things, as you said. I also used miracle bubbles and stored them near the final...
Probably not a spoiler, but I feel like posting it as one...
So far I haven't got carpal tunnel from that method. And I didn't even need to cast a heal (which I have never, ever gotten to work. Ever.) :p
