another idea. when you need help, complete a one off challenge. it will create a 100 strong ghost army just like in the norse isle in the game, but itll only last for a short period of time before they dissapear.
hows that kingdom mod getting on, skelape?
i have a few more ideas -
as well as the two kingdoms, there are some small towns that are usually peaaceful. but when you attack them, they recruit small but elite sqaudrons of men who hide in the forest and ambush you.
the enemy can attack...
this is to do with the way BW2 loads textures. there is a separate file (with the word "box" on the end of the name) for when you zoom RIGHT out which is only a few pixels and is 2D. this is to save ram on slow computers.
when you zoom in, the computer adds a 3D model and wraps a more detailed...
hmm.. no... in and out of the :angry COURSEWORK :angry i suppose i shall. but when this :angry COURSEWORK :angry is finished kayssplace will have my full attention. :D
darn shultz, youve come to the right place!! follow this link.
http://www.bwfiles.com/files/index.php?action=file&id=701
follow the instructions to install that mod. then play the game as a good god.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------...
well... BW1 was better in terms of the creature because he was more lovable. the creature has emotions ad you have to train him for ages.
then we had BW2.
the creature was no longer a creature - it was a computer. it did exactly what you wanted as soon as you stroked him. he would never mess...
man, i cant WAIT till the holidays. ill be churning out mod after mod after mod when ive finished all this damned coursework. :blues: i suppose year 11 will be better, because theres less coursework and less homework.
(guh!!> :angry HIS NAME IS XOATL
the japanese manuscript in the first game says something about "xoatl waits". im pretty sure this has something to do with the name of the god.
i never use force to take a settlement, i simply massacre the inhabitants with soldiers and destroy the buildings with seige weapons. makes me feel like a mongol warlord.
i hate my creature with a passion. i tie him up near an enemy settlement and let die whenevr the game starts.
seriously, i dont see why everyone loves creatures so much!
y'got a point, skelape. unless there is some sort of extra "creature name" file which, like most of the other stuff in the black and white 2 folder, was never used.
oh well, at least i have black and white 3 to "look forward" to :rolleyes
catapult skins? :suspect the catapult skins wouldnt be in the" black and white 2" folder, unless you'd unstuufed it or something. you usually wouldnt see them.
usually an epic miracle is the first thing i build. if you build a wonder first and charge it up, the enemy wont launch their one against you before you do.
i made a map, it has two cities, one aztec camp and one greek megacity (no buildings, just walls and a town centre)
anyway, i cant script, but i wanted a simple script wth no challenges or FPS, just a script that spawns 1000 enemy soldiers (Not all one platoon, maybe 10 or 20 platoons of 50...
this map has a great script, and the cities are well designed, but the textures are too blocky and the lanscape is a bit boring. if you could make the texture size smaller and blend the grass and rocks better, this map would rival "three corners."
off topic, but if you want skyscrapers to go up RIDICULOUSLY fast, then go on gamebalancebuilding, and change the building stats on the skyscraper to 5 wood, no ore. skyscrapers will be easier to build than to plan.
