thats what happened to me. i was amazed by the openeing screen (to be honest, i'd never seen graphics that good in my entire life, since the video properties were maxed out and the screen was on 1440x900), but the actual game became boring quickly (in about a month i had explored every nook and...
ive heard that the future room was made for mods and patches a while ago, but how was that system meant to work? did it download them straight from the internet, or did it rely on the fact that some mods would be released at certain times during the year? once again, peter molyneux's verelon hoop.
ive seen the outlaws before. they can be incorporated into the game by reskinning the normal villagers with them, since they use the same model.
its alot of fun skimming through the model, skin and texture files and seeing what BW2 would have been like.
heres what the textures look like so far. some of them need a bit of retouching, but overall im pretty pleased with the results.
saracen soldiers/archers
as mentioned in a previous thread, ive been adding to the medieval knights mod. and as also mentioned in that thread, i havent had the time to do it. but at the moment there isnt much coursework at school, so now i have plenty of free time to finish the mod. :yes
i havent had the time to test...
its annoying when you start the game in BW2 and your creature poos on all your villagers, except only one man and one woman. (bet they had fun :p) ive had to restart the game on five occasions because of this. :(
i punished my creature by casting a volcano wonder underneath him. but he still...
the gorilla in BW2 looks a bit wierd, his eyes pop out too much...
but youre right, the turtle does look good evil. :angry
the tiger doesnt really take my fancy, because i cant really see his eyes and i cant get any expression out of him. :(
:sorry about this, but im going to have to postpone the mod until i can get the time, which might be a few months away. (school is starting tomorrow) dont worry, ill still do it on weekends and whenever i get the chance, but for now ill have to pause.
sorry to burst your bubble, but from your reaction you dont realise that BWM files cant be edited with any editing software. only lionhead has access to that software. :(
BW2 is old enough now for you to get it in one of those "buy 3 games for £10" offers. if the disk is scratched, you might have to cut your losses and buy a new one.
