Perhaps you are thinking of the Dell Windows XP that will NOT run B&W, or much of anything. The one mentioned in this topic is a different computer.  :)

I have Hamachi for Mac, and I understand the bit about using Hamachi to create and join a "Network". What I don't understand is how creating/joining affects the dead end menu "join online game". Could somebody please give me a rundown on the steps required? :upside

This trick seems to work good for me, you will need hand forcing, heal, and a large platoon for this to work: Damage (not kill) a bunch of your soldiers in the platoon, then heal, then repeat. Also, taking a village through impressiveness gives you a lot of good points.

Er, I am afraid I cannot get to a chat screen.  :( I get to the "Find a Game On your Local Network" and that is it....  I cannot go on from there.  No other computer shows up. How does one get to the chat screen?  ??? The Mac version's manual does not say anything about online.  Perhaps this...

How does the host start the game? ???

I decided to try this, and on the Mac version "Host Only" is not an option, the only options are "On your Local Network" or "On the Internet". I tried "On your Local Network" and it gives me this, any thing I missed? Picture:

.txt and .lnd files. You will need to remove the " copy" from the .lnd and .txt file's names for it to work in the basic game. This was requested by Kayssplace member xrtxrt.

What kind of Macintosh are you using? Mac Mini, iMac, Mac Pro, MacBook? Here there is a Mac Pro, so I do not dare play B&W2 without it.  Because on Mac Mini it slows to a crawl, even at near minimum settings. As for it working on Windows (7, or are you waiting for 8?) there are a few topics...
