They are simply books just like they appear to be. You can buy them and read up on things that have happened or are happening in the world. Its just a little extra plot information that you can read if you want to.
This sounds interesting im going to try it, really the only major flaw of this game is difficulty and i think more aggresive will be better. I cant test it right now but I will test it soon if no one else does first.
How do you change the agressiveness because i find the game to be too easy even when playing as an evil god. IF the enemy would attack me more often than never like it usually does the game would be alot more fun. I find that a simple wall is all you need, no soldiers, no miracles. Half the...
I picked up over 100 people and sacrificed them all  then i picked up another 200 and put them all in jail. O ya and i made a whole bunch of skyscrapers then threw 80 people at them and watched them bounce off of the sides. Good times good times :woot
I think that was meant to be a joke... you dont really need an ATI card, as for why it freezes im not sure, try running some spyware/virus removal programs. There may be something runing in the background that takes up too much system resources.
It may be kind of a cheap shot but just make alot of worshippers and start lobbing lighting, It bounces so you can throw it really far and if your lucky you'll kill quite a few soldiers, Also dont be afraid to use lighting near your troops, it cant kill them.
I cheat on a lot of games but i just dont think i could cheat on BW. The game is just so complex and amazing that i think it would destroy alot of the fun in the game. I think the only cheat i ever used on BW1 was to make my creature as tall as possible just to see what he would look like.
12/1 :) I like having my creature fight the enemy. The only reason that he lost once was because in the middle of a fight a fairly large platoon of archers decided to join in the fight :cry
Or you could just go with evil put tons and tons of houses close together deforest the whole land and have 10000 people in your town with 4 500 men platoons. But i guess you could do it your way with the whole impressiveness thing.
I found that as your creature kills more platoons he tends to use his most effective attack first. I use my creature (a tiger) for alot of combat and he has master soldier and all the miracles except water. After about the 20th platoon he killed every time he just uses the pouncing attack and...
The closer togerther you put the houses the more people they can hold and the higher the birth rate, it also makes you more evil :devil . My hovels can hold 18 when there are a bunch next to each other.
